I came across a scene that reminded me of a childhood moment, and decided to combine the two. We lived across the road from the beach and of course I spent most of my time there, and would have to traverse a little grove of Casuarina trees. The dappled light, their bark and leaves are wonderful, the spiky seeds they left on the ground however, made navigating that idyllic picture a little more “exciting”. I of course am too impatient, and ran to the beach, shouting “Ow! Ow! Ow!” all the way. No regrets.
