This little island at this time of day I usually only ever see after I’ve been on a fishing trip to a very remote part of the Solomons. It’s one of those places that is beautiful and wild, and never a footprint in the sand (the odd crocodile/goanna/turtle). I usually only see this island at this time of day because it takes a long time to get there. It’s tucked in behind the outer reef. And usually the water is glassy and smooth, so there’s lots of lovely reflections. I’m usually happy and tired. These three pieces were painted together, and they are of the same island.
