Preparing for a recent workshop “Soaring”, I painted quite a few studies of these incredible birds. Doing this helps gives me a deeper understanding of how to dissect the subject matter in a way that makes it easier to teach, and hopefully easier for people to understand. I just love the contrast between those stormy clouds and the sun shining down from that top corner.
